GaussNewton updates

    - Pass P to grad().
    - Remove bias TODO in anticipation of new
      formulation for 7-parameter problem.
    - Instead of fixup, auto-fixup irrelevant inputs.
    - Drop back down to cubic TF13, testing auto-fixup,
      and a more realistically usable form than quintic.
